15:56 KOSOVSKA MITROVICA , April 3 (Tanjug) - Several thousand citizens of northern Kosovo-Metohija protested on Thursday in northern Kosovska Mitrovica, because, it was pointed out, of the policy of UNMIK chief Michael Steiner, which is not in keeping with UN Security Council Resolution 1244 and which leads to "the creation of an independent Kosovo-Metohija."

Serbian National Council (SNV) executive council member for central Kosovo and Metohija Rada Trajkovic said that Serbs from Kosovo-Metohija will not live in an independent Kosovo and will not accept the Kosovo Protection Corps as its army.
