KOSOVO ALBANIAN REBELS'
REGROUPING NOT DIRECT THREAT TO SOUTH SERBIA - OFFICIAL

Belgrade, 4 April: The police has operational knowledge that remains of the
Kosovo Liberation Army (OVK UCK in
Albanian ) are being regrouped in Kosovo-Metohija,
but the south of Serbia is not directly endangered, Serbian Assistant Minister
of the Interior (MUP) Sreten Lukic said on Friday 4 April .
"Members of gendarmerie and army have taken all necessary measures to prevent
terrorist activities in the region," said Lukic at the meeting of the Serbian
Parliament Committee for Security.
Lukic also said that the security forces follow up the situation, which is now
easier with an improved and intensified cooperation with representatives of the
UN Mission in Kosovo.
