Tanjug - April 9, 2003
18:25 THE HAGUE , April 9 (Tanjug) - During
cross-examination at the trial of former Yugoslav president Slobodan Milosevic
on Wednesday, the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY)
protected witness marked as B-104 denied his previous statement that Milosevic
had personally issued orders to former head of the Serbian State Security
intelligence service Frank Simatovic Frenki during Yugoslav Army operations
around Srebrenica in early 1993.
The former member of the Yugoslav Army's 712th anti-armour helicopter squadron
from Nis spoke about the participation of Yugoslav Army units in these
operations and gave confused answers during the defendant's cross-examination,
reiterating that he did not remember or had not personally seen many of the
facts and data made in his previous testimonies.
