Amendments to Law on crime control affect attorneys

, May 1 (Tanjug) - The Serbian Bar Association assessed on Thursday that the amending Law on organization and competency of state organs in organized crime control seriously affects the work of attorneys.
In its press release, the Association said that, under Article 15b of the Law, the authorized official person may, without a court order, take into custody a person who can provide information or identify evidence of organized crime and keep this person in custody for one day, and that, under Article 15v of the Law, the custody of the same person may be extended for another 30 days.

Criminal charges also include lawyers of Zemun Clan, Mihajlovic

, April 29 (Tanjug) - The Serbian Interior Ministry has filed criminal charges against the lawyers of the Zemun Clan: Miodrag Gligorijevic, Nikola Djogumovic and Slobodan Milivojevic, as well as against journalist Gradisa Katic and the employee of the Security Information Agency (BIA) Toni Gavric on suspicion of associating with criminal intent, Serbian Interior Minister Dusan Mihajlovic said Tuesday.
 
All those who have been charged are suspected of being members of the group of Dusan Spasojevic, suspected of assassinating Serbian Premier Zoran Djindjic on March 12.
