BELGRADE -- Friday – The Serbian Radical Party’s candidate in next months presidential election said today that he has the support of Slobodan Milosevic for his bid.

Tomislav Nikolic told TV Palma Plus that he had received a message from The Hague authorizing him to say that Milosevic supported him.

“He can’t and mustn’t support me in public because he will be beginning his defense case at election time and this could isolate him,” said Nikolic.

He added that he was not rejecting the support of the former Yugoslav president, although he did not need it to win.
