Orthodox convent Gorioc in Kosovo attacked - church sources

(18:51) BELGRADE - Unidentified attackers opened fire on May 27, 28 at night on Spanish KFOR troops guarding the Orthodox convent of Gorioc near Istok, about 20 km northeast of Pec, the Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) press service said Thursday.

One of the soldiers returned fire, after which the attackers fled. The attack was confirmed to the SPC Raska and Prizren Eparchy by a representative of the UNMIK police in Pristina, and a report on the attack was also included in an official release of the UNMIK police of May 28.
