Serbs' return to Kosovo very slow, UNHCR
Tanjug - September 8, 2003

12:17 COLOGNE , Sept 8 (Tanjug) - According to the latest report of the United Nations High Commissioner Refugees (UNHCR), 7,531 persons have returned to Kosovo so far, i.e. 4,115 Kosovo Serbs, 734 Gypsies, 358 Bosniacs, 109 Goranaies, 426 ethnic Albanians, and 1,789 others.

One of UNMIK's three priorities for this year is the return of refugees, but for the last eight months, only 644 members of the Serb nation have returned, which proves that nothing is to be expected from the results envisaged for 2003, a year which is seen as crucial for the process, UNHCR said in its report broadcasted by the German Deutche Welle radio.
