gives Milosevic three months for preparing defense

14:01 THE HAGUE - The war crimes tribunal in The Hague stated on
Wednesday that the former Yugoslav president Slobodan Milosevic will have three
months to prepare his defense, which should start in the spring of 2004.
Milosevic had requested two years for preparing his defense.
At a brief public session, the judges at the Milosevic trial also said that the
defendant should present a list of his witnesses and of his evidence material
six weeks after the prosecution completes the presentation of its evidence,
Fance Presse news agency reported.
