SPS urges
boycotting of presidential election in Serbia
Tanjug - October 10, 2003
19:26 BELGRADE - The Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) said Friday that the
presidential election was called in haste in order to confuse Serbia, which is
demanding early parliamentary election and the toppling of the ruling Democratic
Opposition of Serbia (DOS) coalition, and urged the voters to boycott the polls.
A successful boycott will show that DOS can no longer mislead Serbia, SPS main
board President Ivica Dacic said, adding that SPS leader Slobodan Milosevic also
believes that such an election should be ignored.
