I expect victory, we will try to form government, Nikolic

15:16 BELGRADE - Deputy president of the Serbian Radical Party (SRS) Tomislav Nikolic said on Thursday he expected that the party would win at the early parliamentary elections in Serbia and that he would try to form a government.

Nikolic repeated at a news conference that SRS would participate independently in the elections and added that he would try to create a coalition as the majority partner, on the basis of what other parties offer in their programs.

Nikolic, who won the highest number of votes at the failed Serbian presidential elections on Nov 16, believes his party will win the biggest number of seats at the early parliamentary elections set for Dec 28.

"It is our estimate, and the reactions of others also indicate this, that the SRS will become the strongest parliamentary party after the December elections," Nikolic said in an interview published in the Podgorica daily Publika on Thursday. It will not be possible to make any decisions in Serbia in future without the radical party," he said.
