ELECTORAL COMMISSION RELEASES FULL RESULTS OF
SERBIAN PARLIAMENTARY ELECTION

Belgrade, 30 December: The Republican Election Commission (RIK) determined
Tuesday (30 December) the final results of the early parliamentary elections
held Sunday in Serbia, according to which six of the 19 parties or coalitions
crossed the necessary threshold.
The Serbian Radical Party (SRS) - Vojislav Seselj won the majority of seats, 82
(32.8 per cent), after getting 1,056,256 votes (27.61 per cent).
The Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) - Vojislav Kostunica won 53 seats (21.2 per
cent), with 678,031 votes (17.72 per cent).
The Democratic Party (DS) - Boris Tadic won 37 seats (14.8 per cent), with
481,249 votes (12.58 per cent).
G17 Plus party won 34 seats (13.6 per cent) with 438,422 votes (11.46 per cent).
Serbian Renewal Movement (SPO)-New Serbia (NS) - Vuk Draskovic, Velimir Ilic,
won 22 seats (8.8 per cent) with 293,082 votes (7.66 per cent).
Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) - Slobodan Milosevic won 22 seats (8.8 per cent)
with 291,341 votes (7.61 per cent).
The remaining 13 election lists did not pass the threshold. They are: Together
for Tolerance - Canak, Kasza, Ljajic with 161,765 votes (4.22 per cent);
Democratic Alternative (DA) - Nebojsa Covic with 84,463 votes (2.2 per cent);
For National Unity - Pelevic, Risticevic with 68,537 votes (1.79 per cent);
Otpor with 62,545 votes (1.63 per cent).
Independent Serbia - Vladan Batic with 45,211 votes (1.18 per cent); Socialist
People's Party-People's Bloc - General Nebojsa Pavkovic with 27,596 votes (0.72
per cent); Liberals of Serbia - Dusan Mihajlovic with 22,852 votes (0.59 per
cent); Reformists SDP Serbia-Vojvodina - Mile Isakov with 19,464 votes (0.5 per
cent); Defence and Justice - Vuk Obradovic, Borivoje Borovic with 18,423 votes
(0.48 per cent); Economic Force of Serbia and Diaspora - Branko Dragas with
14,113 votes (0.36 per cent); Labour Party of Serbia - Dragan Milovanovic with
4,666 votes (0.12 per cent); Yugoslav Left with 3,771 votes (0.09 per cent); and
Alliance of Vojvodina Serbs - Dusan Salatic with 3,015 votes (0.07 per cent).
Of the total of 6,511,450 registered voters, the turnout was 3,825,471 or 58.75
per cent. The number of invalid voting slips was 49,755, or 1.3 per cent. The
results from all 8,589 polling stations (100 per cent) have been processed and
the voting will not be repeated at any of them.
