England in Nazi fan fear

ENGLAND fans could be targeted by Nazi hooligans in Croatia this autumn.

Steve McClaren's men travel to Zagreb for a European Championship qualifier on October 11.

But FIFA fear racist thugs may hijack the game, after Croatia fans formed a swastika and made Nazi salutes during the 2-0 'friendly' win in Italy on Wednesday.

FIFA have charged the Croatian FA with bringing the game into disrepute but admit it will be tough to prevent similar scenes in the future.

Croatian chief Vlatko Markovic said: "Those fans do not care about Croatia, only themselves."
